call Scam
A telephone scam asking for personal account information has been targeting
some area residents and credit union members. The scam artists tell
victims that their card has been deactivated and encourages members
to fix the problem by providing card and personal identification numbers.
Midwest
Family FCU will never call members to to ask for personal information
such as account numbers and (PIN)Personal Identification Numbers. If
you should receive a call such as this Do Not Give Out Any Information.
Members with concerns about their accounts should always follow-up with
their credit union directly. Anyone who is victimized should call their
local police department.
